GIANYAR, BALI — In a continuous effort to ensure the optimization of healthcare services for National Health Insurance (JKN) participants, the Supervisory Board (Dewas) of BPJS Kesehatan conducted an official working visit and direct evaluation at Kenak Medika Ubud Hospital, Gianyar Regency, Bali. This strategic visit marks a concrete step in monitoring the readiness of advanced healthcare facilities in the region.

This strategic visit was led directly by the Chairman of the BPJS Kesehatan Supervisory Board, Prof. Dr. dr. Stevanus Adrianto Passat, SH, MKK, MH, MM, C.Med, CIRP, QRGP, GRCE, GRCCP, FIMMA.
He was accompanied by a delegation of high-ranking BPJS Kesehatan officials, including:
The presence of this complete executive formation aimed to factually review the readiness and quality of services provided by Kenak Medika, which currently serves as an Advanced Referral Health Facility (FKRTL) partnering with BPJS in the Ubud area and its surroundings.

During the inspection, Prof. Dr. dr. Stevanus Adrianto Passat and his delegation monitored various vital hospital facilities to ensure the fulfillment of the "JKN Service Promise" (Janji Layanan JKN).
The supervision focused on the smooth flow of outpatient registration at the specialist polyclinics, the standard of feasibility and comfort in the inpatient wards, and the readiness of the Emergency Room (IGD). The board ensured that the IGD is fully prepared to receive JKN patients during medical emergencies without requiring a referral letter, a crucial protocol to guarantee patient safety during critical moments.
One aspect that received special spotlight and appreciation during this visit was the implementation of digitalized healthcare services. The Supervisory Board and the Deputy Director interacted directly with several elderly patients and administrative staff in the lobby area. This dialogue was intended to ensure that the online queuing system via the Mobile JKN application has been operating effectively. As a result, physical queues at the hospital have been successfully unraveled, and patient waiting times have been significantly reduced.
On the same occasion, the presence of Bu Made Dwi Mas Utami as a Non-Dewas Committee Member added significant value to this evaluation activity. Monitoring from an independent expert perspective was conducted to ensure that clinical governance at Kenak Medika always prioritizes patient safety. Furthermore, it guarantees that there is zero discrimination in the provision of medications or medical procedures for all JKN participants.
This official working visit by the BPJS Kesehatan leadership serves as both a validation and continuous coaching for Kenak Medika Ubud Hospital. The hospital management warmly welcomed the positive evaluation and reaffirmed its full commitment to continually synergizing with the government.
This alignment reflects Kenak Medika’s core vision: to manifest prime, transparent, and equal access to medical care for all layers of society in Gianyar Regency and the wider Bali Province.
